Griff - One Legged Squat practice

For the vast majority of us, everyday requires us to things we do not feel like doing, do not like to do, and that possibly make us feel uncomfortable. Except for the most affluent folks, who can afford to do whatever they want whenever they want and avoid the discomforts of contemporary life, this is reality. It is especially true of CrossFit.

Here, we are going to consistently require you to go well beyond your comfort zone. We (or at least I) do not feel bad about this. Comfort zones are for someplace else, but not up in here. For many of you being outside your comfort zone will be a place you've never been, because inherently as humans we attempt to avoid discomfort. Hard tasks may come in the form of lifting barbells loaded with weights, running outside, jumping on a box, doing a handstand, or a mixture of all of those. Really crazy stuff. We understand. What we are asking you to do is to give it your best shot and work to keep improving.

You may not ever like some of the things you have to do. Some people will never like to lifts weights, run, speak in public, read a novel, or whatever. Ok, it's your choice on how you perceive the task and ultimately the behavior that follows. Our goal is to motivate you to do hard things anyways because we know they're good for you, and to hopefully affect a permanent change in perception and behavior regarding "hard shit".
